You really need to get some professional help. What did the counselor do back then to help you? If it seriously helped you ought to go back and talk to her/him again. You know when I was in high school, I was suicidal and I still have the scar on my wrist from when I tried to slice it. If you cut yourself on your arms, think how pretty your arms would be not scarred up. If you really need to talk to someone just to talk, You are more than welcome to e-mail me. Now I'm not a professional or anything but I'm a good listener.

Address your insecurities and work them out one at a time. Don't allow yourself to become overwhelmed by it all and give up. Also channeling your pent up frustrations through exercises like running, swimming, or any fun type activities that interest you is quite constructive and healthy. Distractions are not enough as you need to address the root cause that makes you want to do harm to yourself in the first place. Don't let others influence you to cause harm unto yourself either. Good luck and never give up hope.

you should talk to your parents or the school counselor. A friend of mine was going through this with her daughter. It took then a long time to help her stop cutting herself but she finally quit. Of course she had to go to weekly meeting with a counselor but it worked. You should also try talking about your feelings with a true friend. good luck!

You should go see a real therapist, those school counselors dont really know what to do in those types of situations.
Plus talking to a therapist might help you not have so much bottled up inside.
Good Luck!

First, I am sorry for how you are feeling and what you are going through. I have suffered from depression and know what its like to have overwhelming feelings of sadness. In my opinion you should not try to overcome this alone. You cannot force yourself to "feel better". You should talk to whomever you can or feel comfortable.. your parent/s, a doctor, friend. Then, decide what your next step will be. You should not be afraid to seek counseling or talk to a doctor. If you ever wanna chat feel free to email me @ Lucille0704@yahoo.com. I wish you well!

talk about it to everyone. each time you talk, your feelings are slowly being let out. tell people your story. think about what made you stop in 9th grade. then try it. dont screw up your life just because you are obsesed with it. keep a journal to write in as an alternative to cutting

You gotta go to a Psychiatrist and/or Psychologist. It only gets worse as you get older. Symptoms sometimes lay dormant for a while when things seem to be going okay, but you need to get to the underlying issues. Please talk with your parents or guardians so you can take appropriate steps.

my son went thru this
I bought him a whittling knife and some wood, and he started cutting on them instead
what the counselor told me was that the divorce his mom and i went thru made him blame himself
the key for him was to find a different outlet for the cutting
find something else to take your frustrations/fears etc out on
I will pray for you to find some peace in this regard
God bless your heart
