jack sparrow shoots the Captain Barbossa in part 1 of pirates of carribean.how come he is alive in part 2??

If you watch the second movie carefully, the first time they enter the Jamaican lady's hut, you can see a pair of black boots in the next room, as if someone were wearing them. Then at the end, when Barbossa shows up in that same hut, it leads me to believe she used voodoo to bring him back, which would explain the whole reference to him having gone to the ends of the earth. So the real question is why did the Jamaican lady see fit to bring him back? Also, I think that Jamaican lady is the woman Davy Jones is in love with; she has the matching heart-shaped locket he had in his quarters.

He is alive in the second movie because someone went to the end of the earth and brought him back. It's the same thing they're about to do for Jack, who you just saw get eaten by the Kraken. That's why they're calling the third one "At World's End."
I can't wait to see it. I hope it's not as dark as the second, and I hope Jack makes it. Barbossa too, but I don't know if that'll happen. Him and Jack have that animosity, you know.

It's the pirates! If a pirate can be cursed and live as bones in the moonlight, why can't he be brought back? You see all of the crazy and weird people in the movie, maybe the voodoo lady from the 2nd movie brought him back. It's the pirates!

Yes he is he comes back by Tia Dalma and Elizabeth, Will and Gibbs and the rest of the gang go to the end of the world to get Jack Back

Well thats why the movie ends when he comes back and they were jusy saying they'd do anything to get jack back and that witch dr lady says anything then Babosa comes out so obviously same thing happened there that she can do for jack well thats my theory

I guess it wasn't enough to kill him. I wondered that myself. I can't wait until 12/5 when part 2 comes out on DVD.
