I am going with the DC Captain Marvel or the one that calls on the power of Shazam (Billy Bateson or Freddy Freeman) For my Answer and not even thinking about the Marvel Comics version.
Actually as seen in some of the different fights in comics, it is Captain Marvel. Why? Because Captain Marvel can call on magic which is a weakness of Superman and actually call on the thunder to strike Superman.
Now, if Superman were to stop Billy Bateson (or Freddy Freeman depending on your Captain Marvel for this Q) from saying Shazam, then it is all over.
But, yes the winner would be Captain Marvel.

Depends. Both are pretty evenly matched in strength and speed but Captiain Marvel has no super vision and Superman could lead him into a forest fire area or anywhere with smoke and Captain Marvel couldnt see to land a blow.

Captain Marvel.
It's a dead-even match- even though Captain Marvel has won 2 of the last 3 times they went head-to-head in the comics. Cap has no special weakness vs magic or kryptonite, while Supes gets nailed by both.
Anyway, I'm reading the currently running "Justice" series by Alex Ross and they're both in there vs Brainiac, Luthor, Bizarro and the entire cast of baddies :)
