i'm not sure why there's a lot of ballet questions but like some people already said, ballet is extremely technical and if a ballet dancer doesn't have the proper technique then she'll get graded very low in an exam she sits or dances (literally) at the end of the ballet semester (approximately 1 year). that's why many people have questions on ballet, and most would be on the subject of technique or shoes. Most people don't realise how difficult and sometimes stressfull ballet can be...they go on thinking "ohh well it's just a form a dance were sissy girls put on tutus and jump around the room" but in fact its not. And not all ballet is slow and classical. Ballet takes a lot of stamina, concentration, discipline and practice. Sorry for venting like this but i really get frustrated at people sometimes (not you though...because half of my answer doesn't pertain to your question)...you can forget all of this anyway...

There is a lot of ballet questions here because ballet is a really serious form of dance, it is also a foundation for many other forms. People who study ballet actually think about it, that's why they have questions.

There are also ballroom and hip-hop question here, too. If it is not ballet that you are most interested in - don't be shy, ask your questions.

Wel, ballet is soo complex. It's not only dancing, it's an expression of an idea. The dancers have to express each emotion through movement only. Plus, everyone gets something different out of watching ballet. That's the beauty of it.
