I really don't know. I think its more because everything will change so dramatically ... like paper work and stuff... and everything will have to be 'politically correct' about everything... they just don't want to bother.
I believe in God and I believe in the bible... but Im not gay.. I don't really understand it... I don't believe its a choice... so I can't judge on this decision.

Marriage is a sacred bond and not something to be taken lightly. It is a very spiritual union. I personally don't have a problem with gay marriage as long as they're doing it for the right reasons. But I do agree with Jessica that it would involve a lot of paperwork to make gay marriage legal everywhere because all family/divorce laws are designed to deal with a man and a woman. My only qualm with gay marriages is that sometimes I question the motives of certain couples. I've spoken to a few gay couples that I've known through friends or what have you and sometimes it just sounds like they want to get married just because they want to be that triumphant gay couple that went against so many and fought for their rights and got that marriage certificate. But when all is said and done did they really want to get married or were they just seeking that feeling of triumph by doing something that many are against...like a beating the odds type of thing. Marriage is fine for whatever mix as long as its for the right reasons but I honestly feel that a lot of gay couples just get married for the sake of being able to get married.

In the bible God said not to have a homosexual relationship. It says nothing about the act being sinful, it said God said NOT to. If people want to live in sin, going against God then that's up to them, everyone believes different and they will have to be judged one day for it not me, so to each his own. But don't hold it against me or anyone who thinks its wrong. Everyone has an opinion. Pro gay marriage individuals seem to get angry when people go against their opinion. I just know what I feel and so do you. People need to give this a rest. It is unnatural to say the least also, and will NEVER and I mean NEVER be accepted by the whole of society, if prejudice to ones skin color hasn't been eradicated by now, then gay marriage will never be either.

Our country has a defined seperation of church and state. Therefore answering this question with "It says so in the Bible" is a load of crap. The Bible has no say in the legal affairs of this country. As for why gay marriage should not be allowed legally, there is no answer. Those opposed to gay marriage know that there is no answer so they hide behind their cross and say "It says so in the Bible". As for me, I am not gay, I am not christian, and I do support gay marriage 100%. It is not the lawmakers or the preacher's place to decide.

AZ is the ONLY state that did not vote for that stupid proposition that takes away gay family rights!! I do not think it should be up to someone to determine what is good and what is bad for a marriage. As long as the ppl are happy together than I say good for them!!!
I can't think of a GOOD reason not to!!

You know what.I don't think gay marriage should be called gay "marriage".I'm gay and I'm not a christian but i ask why should we try and equal the straight definition of marriage when we can be better. We can call it something else.Marriage comes from the bible.Alot of gay people dont believe in the bible so why does it have to be name that...there must be a cuter name than marriage.(I'm South African). Were getting gay "marriage" approved before the end of this month.I'm soo happy.

The same reason most states require car insurance and seat belts, for the good of the driver. Whether they agree or not, an accident may happen and that seat belt they wore to avoid a ticket could save there life. This was founded as a christian country, may of the laws set are in place to accidently save someone's soul.

1.) Slippery Slope: Where do we draw the line? If i'm not hurting you why do you care syndrom...Well thaen, why can't 3 guys get married? Why can't 2 sisters get married? They are not hurting anyone.
2.)Its not natural, If you moved all the gay couples to an island, everyone would be extinct in about 70 years. Well unless they decided to have test tube babies or bring a 3rd person into their relationships.
3.) Its not the way God intended.

I'm a Christian, but I still believe that people should have the right to marry who they want. Some people might call me a hypocrite, but I'm not. I try not to judge people, and just leave that up to God. I don't think we have the right to tell people who they should be allowed to marry.
Sorry, I know I didn't answer your question, but I wanted to give my input!
