I've been looking for a bike about 600cc and have come across the Yamaha YZF-R6 and the Suzuki GSX-R 600. I like both of them, but I am wanted to know what some of the experienced riders out there think. I'm not looking for your opinions on the look of the two bikes, but rather your opimion on the rest of the bike. I would appreciate answers from any one with experience around the bikes, owners, or previous owners. Thanks in advance!

The Yamaha YZF-R6 is more of a WFO (wide f'n open) race bike.
I don't have first hand riding experience with the GSXR, so I can't comment on it.
Another bike you should also consider is a Honda CBR600RR.
It's got the same acceleration and handling abilities as the first two. But it's a more forgiving and road worthy sport bike.

If this is your first bike, a Suzuki SV650 or Kawasaki Ninja 650r would be better choices. You will learn to be a much better rider on one of those than a repliracer and you look way cooler when you can pass R1's on the outside because most guys out there have more ego than skill.

Head on over to the sportbike forums. http://www.sportbikes.net You'll get better answers over there. Good luck (I have a Hayabusa myself and love it)
