What universities are good for this, What kind of classes should I take in high school, What kind of clubs should I join, ect? Being a junior, do I still have time to do all this? Is there anywhere I can talk to Hollywood directors to get tips on becoming a director and being a good one? What must I do to get noticed as a director?

I suggest you become part of the A/V club at your school or any art classes at school that have to do with video or photography. USC and UCLA have famous film schools. Lucas, Coppola, Spielberg, and many others came from these schools. You will probably have to be a cinematographer, editor or camera man before becoming a director. This will at least get into the business.

During the rest of your high school years join the drama club and get involved in school plays and musicals even if you don't act or sing. Take backstage roles in the production to get experience with how things work in a production.

As far as college goes be ready to go to New York City or Los Angeles. The respected schools for directing are in these cities. (acting schools are everywhere, directing is different)

To get noticed as a director you will need to make short movies and enter them in contests. Senior projects at film schools are good for getting noticed as well (i.e. THX1138 by George Lucas). Directing commercials doesn't hurt either if you can get an 'in' in the industry.

Make short films and get as many people as you can to see them, submit them in every contest, and fesival, and take classes if you can in film-making. Lots of technical knowlegde helps. Write. Take Still pictures. Just try and create a body of work that people can see and hear. School is also important for connections in "Hollywood".
