I have. It works great. So does asking for directions, or apologizing.

Well, there's a thumb's up for you. I don't know why you'd get a thumb's down for a good question like this. It isn't even bending the site rules. lol

Okay. Answer:

No, I've never gotten out of a ticket & especially not by turning on the water works for a cop. Doing that would be going against my own personal ethics & if I've done something to get a ticket then I'll take the thing & pay the fine.

Yes. It was a long time ago when I was living in a small town that you never even saw cops. This town was so small it didn't even have a police station. Anyways, it was in Cali and I pulled what they call a "California stop". Where you roll up to a stop sign and look but not completely stop before proceeding. Well, I did that and shockingly there was a cop that caught me. He did his whole "Can I see your drivers license routine" and I was like "Where the hec did you come from". He informed me that he was from the next town over which is a little bigger. I told him that it wasn't fair cause in the whole thirteen years I've lived in that town there was never any cops and then all of a sudden there is one and its from another town. I told him it was my word against his and I would fight it. He told me to calm down that he wasn't going to give me a ticket but just a warning. He said he grew up there too and knew what I was talking about. lol.

I have gotten out of a few. I think that the officer was in a good mood that day because I have gotten plenty more than I could ever dream of getting out of. I have never turned on the water works. Maybe I should. Better yet, maybe I will go the speed limit.

I never cry when I get pulled over.
But, I've never gotten a ticket either. Every single cop that has ever pulled me over has asked if they could call me except for one. And he asked me out to dinner.

I even got in an accident when I was sixteen, I rear-ended the vehicle in front of me. Totally my fault. The cop didn't even give me a ticket...on top of all that, he offered to drive me to and from school everyday until my car was fixed...

The cops in my area are so sweet, I've been really fortunate ; )

No. I was stopped once and given a ticket. As the cop was handing me the ticket, he said "I wish we could have met under different circumstances"... I should have said, "well you're out of luck now, aren't ya, bozo"....
but of course I didn't.

no but i got out of one by laughing too much he couldn't help but laugh too.......i guess i did one of those slow down but not actually stopping at a stop sign once and when the cop pulled me over i was laughing my head off cause i was eating a pork chop and had nowhere to put it so i could get my information out, so i shoved it into my mouth and couldn't talk!!!! He was laughing so hard he couldn't write the ticket!!!!!

No, I have only gotten one speeding ticket in my life and the cop showed me no mercy. It cost me $101.

I got into my first accident when I was 16 and I was really upset and crying. They didn't give me a ticket because I admitted it was my fault but I still beleive it was because I was crying.
