completely normal. It's what my friend calls "feeding fat". you start to put it on towards the end as your baby plumps up. I think it has something to dow ith storing fat in order to produce milk when the baby arrives. If you think you burn about 500 calories a day when breastfeeding it would make sense. Also you never seem to shift that last bit of weight afterwards until you stop breastfeeding.
Don't worry about it, just try and enjoy the last bit of pregnancy and good luck with it.

During the last 1-2 months of pregnancy your baby can gain as much as a pound a week. If you're looking plumper it could mean the baby has "dropped" a part of preparation for delivery. Don't worry.
Congrats!!!

Yes, it is normal. your body is probably retaining some water too which will make you heavier and look plumper. Your baby will also be gaining a pound a week in the last month of pregnancy.Make sure you keep track of kick counts and drink lots of water. The more you drink the more your body will be able to release any you are retaining. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions make sure you talk to your OB on your next visit. And CONGRATULATIONS!

It is absolutely normal to gain more weight in the last weeks of pregnancy as the baby is growing more also. I am 29 weeks pregnant and I have noticed the same thing.

Yes, what most women don't realize is that you gain the actual "baby weight" during the last trimester. So the baby really develops in the womb those last few weeks. Yes you look plumper because that baby is ready to make its way out. Not because you are gaining weight, it really doesn't matter what you eat because it is the baby's own growth and development that has caused you to get bigger.

Not in the last 4 weeks, it ain't. The final month the baby is almost full size already and just his organs are maturing- developing into the finished version. Cut out anything with pastry in/on or around it just to be on the safe side, or anything u might buy in a bun shop (including biscuits) Spoil yourself with things like fresh raspberries if you feel hard done by.

yes unfortunetly this is when we gain most of our weight. I gained 6 pounds in 2 weeks. and then 3 more the following week. Now Im almost 39 weeks and last week I lost 3 pounds. But your answer is yes and its when the baby starts putting on most of his/her weight. Congrats and Good Luck

Totally! You should want your baby to gain more weight versus coming out very underweight. and dont worry about losing it. Moms lose baby weight waaaay faster than normal weight. Breastfeeding burns about 500 calories a day, plus lugging around all the baby gear wont hurt either!
