do americans still shout " let's bomb Paris " ,
" we eat Freedom Fries " , and "throw french wines down the drain" .
we saw those images on CNN just after the occupation in Iraq.
Do you americans still hate the French that much ?

They don't serve "freedom" fries in the capitol anymore. (see attached news link).

I don't recall anyone ever calling for the bombing of Paris. I can't dispute that you saw this on the news, but if so it was probably an isolated incident, and not representative of the population at large.

I think some Americans are upset over what they percieve to be a lack of support from a country that so many Americans died to free from enemy occupation in WW2.

However not all 300 Million Americans feel the same way about these things. In fact one of the biggest problems in American politics today is that we have more like a 51%/49% view on current events. So a lot of people are dissapointed with the actions taken by a very slight majority.

It's not that the Americans hate the French so much it's that the French have always hated Americans and the Americans don't appreciate how ungrateful France in general is to the US....they forgot we bailed them out of a couple of wars is all......you did not hear the whole story why the Americans said what they did.....in response to harsh words from the French. There would be no France without the USA...........but I can tell you we never call french fries....freedom fries....not ever...they will always be french fries to Americans. Remember that the French had done alot of bashing of the US....u saw the Americans response to that on CNN. It was not the other way around.

There is still probably the same level of ill-will as there was back then. I wouldn't take anyone who calls for us to "bomb paris" seriously though. I think it might be similar to the disrespect that english have with the french and visa versa.

Yes, they do. They are not as highly advertised as before, but they are still served.
