This is for all the murderers out there that want to watch a dog rip another life apart. You call a fox vermin, so what does that make you? The human race kills more chickens in a day than a fox would kill in 10 years.

Yes. i agree totally. glad the ban is in force now
there are however, sick people who still think it is ok, trying to defend it
plus how can people be so narrow minded to think a wild animal is dumb

Maybe bloodhounds could hunt something else, not an animal, just something with a scent. Bloodhounds can track a scent for days over a vast distance. The day before a hunt, someone could carry and hide something a couple of miles away (a dead fox for example, one that died of natural causes, of course) and that should still be fun to hunt.

Technically it's not murder though. Murder is killing another human!

Personally I don't think that fox hunting is inherently cruel as in the wild dogs would hunt foxes and many other animals as well so it is natural to them. I can understand why people like riding across country on a horse it must be very exhilarating but I don't understand how they can enjoy this when they know some animal is going to be torn to pieces at the end of it. In any case the ban is unenforceable anyway

I can fully understand your thoughts on hunting dogs after a fox and the dispair you feel , but have you , like I have, stood outside a chicken coop to see all your birds killed heads only chewed off and left, total slaughter , you may say that is nature, well you keep your bloody nature and if the only way to control vermin like foxes is to hunt and destroy them then let it be so,, I suggest you get yourself a chicken coop fill it with chickens with a invite to foxes to come along and have a field day , when you see the look on your childrens faces as to the distruction caused by a raiding fox , you may have a different outlook on foxes.

In a way I agree, you shouldn't kill something for sport, the only reasons behind killing an animal are because they are vermin or for food, therefore if a farmer sees them as vermin and threat to his livelihood he is within his rights, although it should be done in a more humane way.

Sickedly cruel.
The pro hunters who give all these examples of why it needs to be done this way,are so nieve ,if it must be done, why do these people dress up in these pantomime costumes, then toast the occasion with a stiff drink, rip the fox apart and then blood first time hunters.its all just an excuse for cruel sport.
why do you need so many people, why not just 3-4 riders in normal riding gear, who do the job and then go home,no they wouldnt enjoy it then would they, uncivilised rabble.

We're all murders. We all consume to live. Plants and Animals. There is no choice in this. It's you or them. Most people choose themselves. It's the nature of the universe in which we live. Now hunting as a game.. Now that may be taking the killing a bit over the top.

I've allways thought it would be rather fun to get a pack of rather large, hungry dogs and chase the wannabe lords & ladies (kidnapped the day before) across the fields (naked and shackled on all fours of course) in the dead of night. Just to see how far they'd get before bitching and bleeting about how unfair it was, etc, etc, etc.

I'm sure they'd see it for the barbarric murdering horror it truely is once they feel the dogs chewing on their bits ... dont you think?

If anybody is up for it, just let me know. I dont have a big angry dog or a horse, but i'm sure i could manage one of those horns they 'toot' as they go.

RE: John R's comment.

May i suggest you stop murdering, killing and destroying, and perhaps spend the time and money on a better chicken coup!

I'm sure the amount you spend on keeping the hounds, horses, polish for your buttons, etc would cover the cost of a really nice hen house; possibly a wee sauna and gym for them too.

I hear ya, Nothing makes me so sick as to those guttless fox hunters. How can anyone find enjoyment in watching a beautiful red fox, frightened to death, running for its life from all those guys on horses and all them dogs? Who in the end will rip it apart. It's down right sick and it is wrong.

Agree. It's barbaric. I'm so glad it's now illegal in the UK, along with other 'sports' such as bear baiting & cockfighting. I firmly believe that animals should be left to live their lives in peace, and that those to be killed for food should be raised and slaughtered humanely. It's the mark of a civilised society. Gandhi said you can judge a country on the way it treats its animals.

well said.
There is more human vermin than foxes. Maybe we should set the dogs on them?
