Sure there's a shot, though it's looking a bit more grim after yesterday's tough loss. I think they are gonna need to win 5 out of the last 6 games though. Could be done, but difficult.
Here's who they have left, it's possible:
Sun 11/26 Arizona
Sun 12/3 at Chicago
Sun 12/10 at Detroit
Sun 12/17 NY Jets
Thu 12/21 at Green Bay
Sun 12/31 St. Louis

Not after losing four staright and a couple of road games against divisional opponents. The Vikes still have to go into Soldier Field and Lambeau. I know the Packers aren't that great this year but they still beat the VIkings at home as did the Bears.
Currently the Vikings have 12 teams in front of them in the standings for the NFC. I am hard pressed to believe they will be able to outlast teams like Dallas, Phili(Maybe because of McNabb), New Orleans, Atlanta and St. Louis. Furthermore, they lost to the 49ners who are ahead of them. The Vikes managed just three points against the 49ners, one of the worst defenses in the league.
If I were the Vikes, i would tank the season and try an get Brady Quinn. B. Johnson is over the hill and can't throw it more than 20 yards. The only Consolation for the Vikes will be the notion Culpepper will not be in the playoffs this year either.
Finally, Isn't it nice to know that Dennis Green can't win with good players down in Arizona, just like when he had Moss, Culpepper, and Robert Smith.

First let me say I've been a Viking fan since 69, but honestly I just don't feel the Vikings have that spark to get them very far. They can almost beat a good team like Chicago, they did beat another good team like Seattle, but then they lose to San Francisco!I don't know what their problem is but they need someone on the team to give them a good kick in the you know where. All in love of course. To answer your question, there's always hope but....

ah, a fellow vikings fan, refreashing
right now I'm not too optimitic. at best we will only be able to finish 1 better than last year. and with the stiff competition, I'd honestly say no. multiple teams from the south and east are viable runs, and most of them have starting winning streaks, as opposed to our loosing streak.
I guess we just have to look at it as a rebuilding year, hopefully Brad gets his stuff together (honestly, how'd one of the best game managers become an INT machine?) or we get some sort of reliable QB situation before next year (2 rebuilding years suck ---we went 9-7 WITH the whole Daunte thing, on paper we should have done better just by having Johnson the whole year, not to mention getting Hutch & Richardson (out :( ) to name a few).
I think eventually we will get on track, and possibly even have a reign of division champs. Jackson, IMO, will prove to be a very good QB.

Everybody's alive for a wild card in the NFC.
Of course, they're all cannon fodder for the Bears...

If they win out maybe. But even if they did that i don't think they would do anything in the playoffs. I would have to look at there schedule though.

yes, they look allright, they gave the bears a good game, and they are improving. I would look out for them for a wildcard spot.
