Mime (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) is an encoding scheme that allows 8-bit data to be sent via the 7-bit internet email system. Your emails contain images, or characters that require more than 7 bits, so they are mime-encoded.

You will have to forego the fancy formatting & decoration, or, if your email program has the option, flag recipients to recieve plaintext-only. Or set your email program to only send plaintext emails.

(There are also "mime types" which is a scheme for specifying what type of file a file is so that your computer knows what program to use to view it. That is a subset of the mime format, and it is also used for other non-email purposes in the internet.)

Mime refers to associates between file types and programs that open them. If you are getting a mime error then you may be sending the e-mail in a format that the other persons e-mail account can not open. (Or you are sending an attachement that they do not have the right program to open).

Try using a different e-mail program to send/receive the e-mail and see if that resolves the issue.
