No, they are not like coffee breaks. And consider your spouse's feelings in the matter. Would you like it if they were having an affair? "good for the goose, good for the gander".

I agree with the above ppl. Affairs are sick. And ppl who have them are too. Think of the ppl you could hurt, um, like your spouse?
Having an affair is also childish, selfish and wrong -- "especially when you are in your forties!" You're old enough to know -- and act -- better.

Absolutely not. If you wanted to be able to sleep with more than one person, you should not have gotten married and made a lifelong promise to someone. Everyone knows at times it seems hard to just be with one person for the rest of your life, but that's what marriage is. If you want to sleep with other people, get a divorce becuase your wife does not deserve that.

no, they are not healthy for a marriage, no matter what your age is.
if it's something you both agree to, then maybe; but you never know how you will both feel afterward.
if you are bored with each other maybe you need to try new things (not new people).

No, they are a sign of an insecure individual who feels he or she has to look outside themselves for validation that they are worthwhile, that's all.
