If so, how old should a baby be before it no longer gets the stretches?

This is an old wives tale BUT I have had 3 kids. With the last one, my son, he did get "The stretches" and the L&D nurse was on her period. ( I asked her because I have no class- also I wanted to know if the tale was true) Went away after about 2 weeks. Sometimes those old wive's tales can be true or maybe it's just coincidence.

I think it's just an old wives tale... I have a 3 wk old and someone the other day told me she couldn't hold the baby because she was on her period. I had never heard of such a thing so I asked her why. She said it would give the baby the "grunts".(constipated). I think it's all bogus, I wouldn't worry about it. But what is the "stretches"?

Wow what a loaded question. i ought to start by utilising asking you do you be attentive to if there extremely does exist a God? yet thats no longer the main element right here. look as a guy, i admire women individuals and each little thing approximately you. the way women individuals look, scent, walk, communicate.......each little thing. Its like the final element that universe has ever created. Now I see your element approximately being embarassed interior the female aisle. wager what, as a guy i'm much extra scared to circulate there. i've got self belief like each women individuals status there'll look at me and say "Get OUT" lol. So do no longer difficulty, adult adult males won't difficulty you there. As for something of ladies........they must return there too. Its like peeing. in case you circulate to washroom, does everyone snicker? No, reason they must finally circulate in 2 hours besides. So don't be Mad or hate your physique purposes. it may be problematical, yet you have the capability to create yet another existence. As a guy, i can only easy the hearth, as a fashion to assert. you are able to flame, cook dinner and grant. get exhilaration from. Edit : I only found out the OP is a guy. Hmmmm..... Your question begs yet another question..........Did you choose for to be a woman? no longer making relaxing. extreme. reason oftentimes adult adult males do no longer ask this kinda stuff. it extremely is very almost like penis envy in opposite.

Sounds like an old wive's tale, because if it were real, it would be really common since nearly all babies live with their mom. What's going on with your baby? Giving a list of symptoms would make it easier for someone to help you.

Never heard of it. I've had three kids and never heard it. Sounds like some kind of old wive's tale.

I don't see how being on your period could cause ANYTHING to pass to ANYONE else. It's not an infection or anything contagious.....it's just a natural part of being a woman.

Some new moms may not begin their period until after they stop lactating. Although that is rare, you won't get your period for at least two months after you give birth.
I have never heard of stretches, I think someone's messing with you.
