It was my first time to go back to the USA last November for an examination . I passed it, however, last May my father was hospitalized. I have to go back home in the Philippines. He died after staying for 36 days in the ICU. Unlike in the USA, those who are 70 years old above are not usually accepted by the Health Maintanence or the Health cards. We spend for it! We were spending around $2000-$400 a day on a cash basis for the medications which were cheaper if bought outside. Miracles really happened. My sister & I had prayed alot & we were feeling that the Lord was really helping us! Miracles happened daily. Whatever we need, we were just praying for it, then it is already there. He comes in mysterious ways. Though my father died, we know that he had already rested in peace with the LORD. He is there eternally. We were thinking how our mother would cope up. I am presently staying at home with her. My sister shoulders all the financial obligations of the family. I might have no work at present but I am contended to be with my family. He really provides our needs! You just have to have FAITH.

Drug addiction. Active for 25 years, 2 years clean.
I started with self help books, a few relapses, therapy, the bible, meetings, and determination.
Now I'm eating right, and I am exercising. I still continue with the self help books and the bible. I am putting to use what I have learned for the good. In other words, I have stopped thinking about it and am DOING it.
