It's just with my family, on Thanksgiving, but my boyfriend is going to be there as well. I want to look sophisticated and dressy, but not over-the-top. (Don't suggest a dress, please!)

You have so many options, other than a dress. Go for rich colors (Burgandy, plum, jade, mahogany, etc.) and fabrics (velvet, charmeuse, satin, cashmere, etc.) with some gold accessories. You could wear some nice slacks with a dressier top and accessories. Here are some tops that I love:

what always looks nice..and this is what im looking for, hehe. is a nice lace dress with some cute shoes. i think lace is very cute, yet sophisticated, yet says ur not trying to hard. just add some accessories..and your good. like the dresses on the link bellow are awesome. Wear a calf or knee length skirt and a nice shirt. Do something nice with your hair, i don't know, half up half down or something, maybe some makeup and earrings.

o hun a dress is all u can wear. a red mini dress.red ctaches attention more than any other cl=olor.or u can just wera sumthing red since u dontlike dresses.
