How can I tell what type of dwarf hamster mine is? I know that campbells are the most commonly sold in stores but i need to check because i read that campbell's are prone to diabetes and i just fed my hamster a raspberry yesterday!!! i know im a worrywart but i want to know. thanks in advance

to answer your question Alda, raspberries are fine for hamsters. In fact, raspberry leaves help hamsters wit diarrhea! BTW everyone, I found that my dwarf hamster is a winter white, and to be specific her coloring is known as "pearl" (she has a white body and gray ears)

Google your hampsters color along with the words "dwarf hampster" It should pop right up. Just curious about he raspberry, why did you feed it one. I would be more worried about giving ti diahreaha. Your hampster will be fine.

Sorry did not know raspberries were good for hampsters. Great that you found out what it was. I had always been told that "soft" fruit ie: raspberries, grapes, strawberries were bad for any rodent. Good to know about the raspberry though. You did not say what its name was.
