It could be that your pelvis has slipped out of alignment.

Lie on your back (only if comfortable for a few minutes) or sit upright on the edge of a chair and squeeze a tennis ball or folded pillow between your knees. You may hear a pop. Squeeze for about 30-60 seconds 5-10 times.

That may help.

If not go see a chiropractor. You can find one who specializes in prenatal and infant care at:

I am 34 weeks and I am having alot of pain walking too. This is my second baby and I didn't have this problem the first time. I do believe it is just the way the baby is laying. The weight of the baby is pressing down on the pelvic area and it hurts and has alot of pressure in that area. I guess we both can't wait to have the baby. I also take medicine for thyroid this pregnancy too, it has nothing to do with it. How are you sleeping? Does the hip pain keep you up too? The hip pain only hurts me at night when sleeping, the pelvic pain during the day when I am moving around. We both need to take it easy till they come. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! What are you having?

Where is the pain at? Sciatic pain is a common pregnancy complaint, it usually starts in the lower back/upper bottom area and runs down the back of the leg. Just get more rest.

im 32 weeks, its my 1st baby and i've been having that pain too!! but its only after sitting for a while. your pelvic bones and things are starting to loosen up, your joints and everything. you're getting ready for labor. not to mention the baby is adding extra weight. feels like a ton doesnt it?? i know mine does lol. anyways you shouldnt be feeling that pain all day...at least i dont. make sure when you do sit though, keep your feet elevated, that might help you. :)

Your body is getting ready for the main event. your body starts to open up to move the baby out. Plus the baby is probably sitting on a nerve.

more than likely it's the ligaments that support the uterus. they stretch to acommodate the baby throughout the pregnancy and it can be painful. also, you're carrying a lot more weight in places your body's not used to, so it's very common to have back pain. to help while asleep, put a pillow between your knees to support your hip. you shouldn't be laying on your back , but on your left side will help with blood flow and digestion

It's probably because you have dropped (i mean the baby has) usually the last few weeks of you pregnancy you tend to get to be ache and the baby is getting ready to join this world!!

possibly baby is on your sciatic nerve that runs to your legs. my daughter was on mine from 24 weeks on and i was in a lot of pain. Not much the doc or you can do about it except try to encourage baby to move. good luck and i sympathize with ya!

Weight probably has a lot to do with it. I didn't have pain until the baby dropped, that's possible, but a little early.
