I think the obvious solution would be to start making some vegetables out of meat. And I mean real meat, not tofu. So you have tasty beef-flavored celery for the dogs, and fly-flavored peanuts for the spiders, and so forth.

Then of course, you'd have to get a lot of facilitators trained to help all the former predators and prey get along. Maybe with some non-competitive group games - like, say, divide into groups of six or so, and cooperatively solve crossword puzzles.

Encourage animals to take "species breaks" - a wolf could live in a herd of elk, learn what it's like to have antlers. Or maybe the young of different species could participate in exchange programs.

And maybe some group organizations, like humans have the Rotary club, where everyone could get together and chat, or sing a few songs, like that.

And pie. Lots of pie. Everybody likes pie.

As cow-friendly as that sounds, I'm not sure it would be possible, but if I could I would. I have seen vegitarian dog treats you know. They could do that for all the household pets, too. Horses are fine with hay. I don't know how I would sea creatures because they eat other sea creatures. Not exactly vegitarian. Maybe there would be a way to convince them that underwater plants taste good too. Hmm. :)

Probably killing off all the ones that eat meat would be the easiest route. Carnivorous Marmaduke down I'm gunning for you dolphin.

Lets see...inject niccotine into the irrigation system so all the plants will be loaded with a highly addictive substance so all animals will get addicted to them.

(I'm not being serious, please do not try this because you will get arrested)

I wouldn't - my dog would probably start to hallucinate my thigh as a giant chicken leg, like in the cartoons!
