Basically, all I want is my extractor fan for the bathroom to be wired in sepratley from the main light switch & I am thinking having an additional pull switch, but one with a neon light.
I have been told Three Pole Pull Switches dont have neons on them for the fan, I dont understand!

hi there,

right basically if you want the fan to run independent of the light then you will require a standard pull operated switch like your light switch.

If however you want it to operate it via the light then you will require a three pole switch (this means when it is switched off that the permanent live, switched live and the neutral is isolated).

Please be careful where you locate this switch and the fan in the bathroom as the regulations have been tightened as to where you ca or cannot install mains voltage equipment in a bathroom.

I hope this helps and does not confuse more.

You don't need a 3 pole pull switch if you are in the UK.
A single pole pull switch will be sufficient. This will break the live feed to the fan. The neutral and earth can go to the fan unswitched.

You mean a 3 way switch but you dont need one of them
If you want a neon on then you need a double pole switch
Live & Neutral from supply to feed side then take Live & neutral from live side to fan
Do it with fuse out for safety

I think you're at cross purposes. You need the fan and light to be wired in completely separately. That involves disconnecting it from the switched side of the light and running a new cable from an "always on" terminal through a switch to the fan. A single pole switch with a neon will be fine.

That's a Pornographic term for wanking off a trio of blokes, swapping them around from hand to hand and mouth.
