is your earlobe hot & red & swollen? Those are the signs of infection. Go back to the place you got them pierced & ask them to check it out, because you might just be having a hard time putting the new earring in, but maybe you're developing a keloid (a lump of scar tissue). If your ears are hot, swollen & red, wash them with soapy water 2-3 times a day (use a cup of soapy water + a little salt & a q-tip), and apply neosporin after everywash.

some take longer to heal then others. Something to try is seasalt. mix some in warm water and dip a face cloth in it. Hold the face cloth on your ear and just let it soak for a while. it is a good idea to do this every once in a while even when you dont think the infection is there. If you got the holes in the upper part of your ear... the bump may always be there but it doesnt mean that there is anything wrong with it. try the sea salt and see how that works.

if its your lobe, those take the longest to heal...so it'll be like that for a couple of weeks. the reason why it wont go in is cause ur tissue is still swollen. if its very swollen and hurts a bit..its normal, but it shouldnt last for too long. put a cold compress on it to bring down the swelling. if u put another set of earings in clean them first before you put them in. your hole is still tender and raw and putting in other unclean earings in equals a chance of it getting infected. if ur ear is constantly worm to the touch, is pussing, has green/yellow crusts on the piercing site, then it might be infected. you should just leave the earings in that you got pierced with for a couple of weeks and just clean the site and u'll be fine. the hard stone thing is jsut the result of a hole now being in your tissue. even when its all healed it'll still have that feeling.

You have an infection if your ear is hot and/or red and/or oozing from the piercing site. If you feel a stone then the hole may have closed in on one site, it may be a scab or it may be a puss-ball or something foreign in the piercing site. I would clean the site and return to the place that did the piercing or to a doctor for more advice.

You could also have a sensitivity to metals and may need to consider only wearing gold or sterling silver until the site is completely clean and healed.

You could have an infection. Let you (infected ear rest) because if u got your ears pierced with sterling silver and u put something fake in them then u can get an allergic reaction or infection.

Yes you do. Wash with alcohol and cotton swab 3 times a day. Put neosporin or other triple antibiotic ointment on it. You can save the pierce, but must be diligent with cleaning and ointment.
