The cost of turf depends on the grade you choose, as others have said.

You will also need to budget for preparation - laying sod properly is a time consuming, back breaking job. Unless your garden is the size of a shoebox, you're better off hiring somebody to do the job for you.

A pro job will look like a lawn by the time they've packed up the van but a DIY job can look scrappy for a *long* time.

It all depends what country you are in... usa...uk? but you get different grades of turf... obviously the more you spend the better quality you get.

It will cost you whatever the place you buy it from charges. Call them up and ask them. There is not one price, it varies by store.

It can be very cheap, for coarse grass, or very very expensive, fine grass.

Decide what you are going to use it for then talk to the local garden centre, they can tell you what's best for your neede
