my nutrtionist told me to get all the nutrients i needed first and then have a glass of soda. she said its okay. but if you are seeing one while you are pregnant she/he might say other wise so you should ask since it is different for every woman and pregnancy. and yeah strawberry soda is great isnt it?lol though i doubt any of the sodas are caffinee free. about the apples. i think they're fine.my nutritionist says you can have anything you want as long as you avoid certain things, and they should give you a list. and also you should avoid some salts. get to a nutritionist at your local clinic they'll tell you whats good :) im 32 weeks so i do know a little something something :) lol have a good day girl. :)
love jen.
ps. now i want an apple with a strawberry soda. lol

As long as the soda is cafeen free I don't think it will harm the baby. The only thing you want to watch out for is your sugar intake which can help you gain weight if you are not careful. But believe me I understand I am 29 weeks pregnant and I crave Fruit Smoothies from the Smoothie King.

Also the caramel apples are fine its just he caramel thats not that healthy. Dont worry you will be fine also in the next month your going to start craving something else.

if you're craving sweets, you probably need more calcium in your diet, try adding a large glass of milk daily, and i'd suggest taking alfalfa after you eat, it's in a natural plant base so is fully absorbed by your body. i'd say skip some of the strawberry sodas, your liver and kidneys have to work harder now to cleanse your and the baby's toxins and carbonation will help keep water weight on you. the carmel apples should be fine :)

As long as the soda has sugar and not artificial sweetener. Go nuts. I couldn't stomach water (the smell, seriously. The first 2 trimesters I could usually handle bottled water, but then even that bugged me) my last trimester so I drank diluted koolaid.
Yes sugar is bad, but if you eat healthily I don't think it will kill you to enjoy these things and it never killed anyone to gain a few (I said a few people) extra pounds during pregnancy.

It's probably fine as long as you are eating healthy in every other way and don't have blood sugar problems. At least the carmel apple is halfway healthy! Your doctor will be monitoring you closely to test for gestational diabetes (monthly urine tests). Some otherwise healthy women do develop diabetes during their pregnancies, so that is one thing to keep in mind. I have a major sweet tooth that I regularly satisfied during my pregnancies without a problem, but other women aren't so lucky.

Well they aren't "bad choices" as in they won't hurt the baby or anything, but you need to be careful because you can gain a lot of weight from that and end up developing gestational diabetes further in your pregnacy because of all the sugar. Just make sure you are eating your veggies and pasta's, etc. As long as it's in moderation, I would say it's alright. Just be careful and be aware! Have FUn!

cravings are fine--make sure you are also getting the proper nutrients that you need and take those prenatal vitamins...I had cravings for scrambled eggs with ranch dressing my first pregnancy....nothing but hot and spicy food for my second, and my third--I just had to have chocolate malts from Steak N Shake everyday....
