THey all praise God and believe he hates sin and its okay for him to hate and we are all evil because of sin and I think that is a bunch of bunk. GOd is a GOd of love not hate so why do these people actually believe like that?

When (or if) you ever become a parent you will be better able to understand this concept. As a child of God, He hates to see me sin against Him...but not because of Him, because He wants what is best for me.
Same concept for a parent with a child....we want the best for them, so when they make mistakes we discipline them to make them understand that there are consequences for unacceptable behavior. But we don't hate them....we couldn't love them any more than we already do.
God loves us....hates the sin.
I'm sorry if some people seem hostile in their answers, we should all strive to build people with positive answers.
God Bless!!

the bible says God hates sin. to say he's incapable of hating sin is putting limitations on an all powerful being. that could be deemed offensive to some. who claims to know the mind of God? and, yes, the religious section does get a bit heated from time to time.

This reminds me of a really stupid statement I read last night on answers. This person actually said that having an open mind lets your brains fall out, or something to that effect. You are right, God hates nothing or no one, but religious people are often very closed minded, because they are afraid their brains will fall out, and they feel threatened by people who think for themselves, instead of letting others tell them what they are supposed to believe.

There is one thing I have to say. Don't waste your time proving things about God.

Pray for people like this alone, privately, and ask God to intercede in their lives.
You can throw many pebbles in the ocean, and you create ripples. Perhaps you'll get a few believers or ones who will change.
If that forum doesn't suit you, well don't frequent it. Peace.

God is way bigger and way more infinitie than any human can ever begin to understand. Don't listen to anyone who uses God to pass judgement or hate. It simply is not true. Its no where near what He or Jesus ever was about. Too big to be put into the simple words of simple humans. God does not hate. Not in the way we do. I am pretty sure that He hates the way a lot of people use His book and His name to justify violence, judgement, seperatism and hate.

I feel that each of us translates religion to fit what we believe. The bible and religion have been used for centuries to justify ones beliefs and rather than except that each of us has the right to believe differently, some people get upset. Which is one of the reasons we continue to have religious wars in the world today.

I have no clue, I agree with you though I've always thought that God looked past your sins and saw the goodness in everyone

I guess some people have strong narrow views and aren't prepared to listen to yours! I agree with you by the way,but in the end how do we REALLY know what god is? I know it says stuff in the bible about what kind of a god he is but hey,he could have changed?! :)

Well, the problem is, which God are you talking about? The God of the Old Testament was really angry and mean, but then the New Testament Jesus was all, "No, God is nice, He loves us."
Of course, they could just be saying God hates, because they don't feel any of His presence in their life, and that's just sad.

you just have a misunderstanding of who God is. God is just.

If he wasn't just...there would be no law...and adolf hitler and mother tereasa would have the same fate.

sin is real.

however, modern contemproary society teaches...relativism. there is no truth. whatever i believe is true. in essence, every man has their own truth.

just like during christ's time.

yet while we are all guilty, god, in his abundant mercy, humbled himself, suffered and died to take away sin.

what is so offensive or hateful about that??

i thin many people just do not understand the bible or jesus, and thus make false accuastions and claims.
