I have a short term memory. So i'll listen to the radio and be like, "that was my song back in the day." But I cant remember those songs unless I hear them on the radio. So I'm looking for a website that lists the songs that came out back in the day by genre and when they came out.

I don't know of any site that lists songs in that way. There are literally hundreds of songs that are released every week.
A better way to find the music you like is to look in the compilation sections for R&B/Rap. They usually contain the best songs from a period in time.
If you know who you like, type the artist's name in amazon.com and see what CD they put out. Under that, you'll see a section that states "People that like this music usually also bought..."
That will give you more ideas.
