Not sure about ruff driver, but theres a music lable called Ruff Ryderz

Yes there was.

In 1998 and 1999 Ruff Driverz were a crossover dance group with a female singer and scored three top twenty hits including "Dreamin'" which was a top ten hit in the UK charts in November '98.

But the hits soon dried up and they were never heard of again.

Yes they usually do bass driven "speed garage" remixes
they did the classic remix of "Deeper love" I think, without delving through my records.

But they definitely is artists by that name, spelt "Driverz" though if your looking for something.
