Both should be legal.

Fights over territory to sell weed still cause lots of violence, but it's the illegal nature of weed that leads to the violence between drug gangs for turf. If alcohol were made illegal, there would be the same kind of fighting between gangs looking to sell alcohol illegally. Remember the violence of the Prohibition era?

I agree with you that people are far more likely to behave violently when drinking as opposed to when high on weed. But I don't think the answer is to ban alcohol. The answer is to let consenting adults do what they want with their bodies. Weed is just another recreational drug. It should be legalized and regulated like alcohol is.

Both should be legal and the age of consumption lowered to 18 for everything. If you're old enough to serve in the army and be tried as an adult you're old enough to make decisions about what you ingest.

And - yes - marijuana is way less dangerous than alcohol or tobacco. Not addicting, impossible to overdose, and far lower cancer risk. Should be regulated and taxed just like booze.

I disagree with your method of argument but agree with your cause. It all involves money. It is hard to field test for marijuana, so it cannot be tested for a DUI. Oddly enough mary J is less harmfull on the body that alcohol, but until the Driving thing is solved we cannot legalize it.

weed should not be legal because that would be negative for everyone, including the sellers... alcohol is legal because everyone needs a break from stress, but when people abuse alcohol, they should be stopped right away

Federal government needs to make money off of weed in order for it to be legal. It won't happen because it can't be regulated and taxed.

Sorry, to inform you of this reality.

DEFINITELY!! I never heard of anyone killing people in cars over weed, staying at the bar (away from their family) all day/night over weed, getting violent, etc... Its a shame we have to live by IDIOTS rules... PRAISE TO THE WEED.....
