12 inches make a foot, so 4 ft 11 inches is (4 x 12) + 11
which is 48 + 11 = 59
1 inch = 2.54 cm, so 59 inches (2.54cm x 59 = 149.86 cm). Change this into metres by dividing by 100 = 1.498 m, which is closest to 1.5 m
hope this helps!

From www.sizes.com “Since July 1, 1959 in the United States the foot has been the international foot = 0.3048 meter exactly. Since the United States is now almost the only country still using the foot, the name has become something of a joke".

In the olden days, there were 12 inches to a foot, so 11 inches is 11/12ths or 0.9166667 feet. Add the four feet to make 4.9166667 feet and multiply by 0.3048 metres/foot, which results in 1.4986 metres. If he stands up straight, he'll reach 1.5 metres.

Why not just measure Patrick with a metric tape?

If a grown man, he must have a millimeter penis too! Others gave it using the factor, but heres a way to check your work, for these simple things...it is always good to see how things stack up from more than one approach. I included this sort of thing when i designed a math course for the mathematically challenged some years back.
Think...
about 39 inches to the metre.
So total inches 59"
Divide 59 by 39.
That gives you 1meter, plus remainder of twenty.
Add a zero on the end, you have 200 inches
divide by 39...
you get 200/39 = 4 and some over, about .45
Round up, and that gives 1.5 metres
Now, on calculator you can get more precise... as buya and others did.

I'm the same height as you! And I am 25! I'm sorry but you'll have to live with your height just like I live with mine. You only keep growing until you 18. After that it's not likely you'll grow anymore. What you should have done is ate healthy food i.e. veggies and took the right vitamins (like those which are good for your bones such as calcium) to make you grow when you were a teen. But now you're an adult so I think it's too late.

Patrick is 4 feet 11 inches.

He's 59 inches tall. Each inch = 2.54 cm

He's 152.4 cm = 1.5 metres to one place of decimals
