Just thought to create a nice forum to share parental joy =). I'll start my 8 month old: Just started sitting up longer (can;t sit up herself though), tries crawling, more easier on the bed...she wont sleep her eyes look so heavy, beause she wants to try crawling everytime i put her down....wants to play and laugh all day, cries if i go towards to room with her, she wants to come out in the living room....but her latest, blowing 'kisses' in the air...she just smacks her lips to imitate the sound! Do share your joys...

My youngest son is 18 months old. He said 'Noo Noo' for the first time today after seeing it on Teletubbies. Don't know if that is a bad thing to say he watches too much TV. I put the tv on whilst I do my housework, but now, if I sit down with the remote control, he takes it off me and turns the channel over. Don't know if this is an achievement or not, but very clever!! He can say 'bath' after having his tea as knows what is coming next. Just love the little things he does that makes me smile.

It's such a nice idea for you to ask people about their babies, since we all love talking about them!
My son will be 6 months old in about a week, and he is SO big! He weighs about 26lbs, is starting to grow out of his 18 month old clothes, and is almost growing out of his size 4 diapers!! He just got 2 teeth last weekend, and he is now "chewing" I guess because he feels his teeth and they must feel so funny! I always catch him doing this and it's so cute! He's also starting to learn how to give hugs and kisses (open mouth, and more of a sucking on your face, but he's got the idea) at night before he goes to bed. He's also trying to crawl when we put him on his tummy, which is a great achievement because he never liked being on his stomach until a couple of weeks ago, and now he seems to love it!!
Thanks for asking, and thanks to everyone else for reading about my son, that I love so much!!

My daughter will be nine months on Dec. 2nd. She is learning how to wave, clap, and do "so big!" She has been giving kisses for about a month (open mouth!) She sits up very well, but still does the "combat crawl!"

I love the idea of this. My desk at work has tons of pictures of her and I love talking about her. She is 8 months. She cruises. She crawled at 7 months. Sat up unassisted at 5 months. She has two little teeth and eats cheerios. She just about feeds them to herself. About 85% of them end up in her mouth. We're working on her pincer grasp which she uses 75% of the time to pick them up. Its so funny. When you snap she picks up your hand and kind of tries to figure out what youre doing. She likes to clap but can't do it by herself. She crawls to a mirror we keep by the floor and kisses herself. Recently we took pictures and when we previewed them she kissed herself. I love her slobbery kisses. You guys understand. She just got the nerve to venture from room to room in the past couple of weeks. I love her sooooo much. I will be glad when she blows kisses. It's sooooo cute. She started using her b and d sounds so she says da da but doesn't know what she's doing but I know if you give it a month or two and she will. I'm so jealous!!! LOL

My two year old is adding lots of words to his vocabulary daily and is learning to count to five. My six month old sits up on his own and just got his two bottom teeth. He is also trying to crawl, and loves to play with his big brother. I think he is trying so hard to keep up with the oldest, so he'll probably be walking before he's one!

Well my 9 mo. old just started drinking from a straw. He will not drink out of his cups and will only drink milk from his bottles. So i tried to give him juice and water from a straw and he loves it. He is also walking now.. not alone but he holds on to my hand and walks... that's the latest

My 17-month old son (turned today) can't speak clearly yet, but he finally understands alot of what I say to him, like 'take your coat off, turn on the TV, find your juice cup, or lay down.' I still remember when he first opened his eyes. They do grow up fast. Have fun with her.

my son (11 months tomorrow) is standing by himself a little. he won't try to take steps yet, but he pulls himself up, crawls all over, he can sit by himself, he'll cruise around holding onto stuff. he waves hello and kind of says hi. (when he wants to) he loves when we clap at him. i love babies, they're so cute.
