Hey. Don't stress so much! I dance professionally every day and I've been there before. The more you stress the harder it will be for you to learn the dance. Especially in hip hop you shouldn't think at all! Just have fun. I know it may sound irresponsible but try it. Try to have more fun and enjoy yourself. The more you practice and the more combos u learn, the easier it will get to learn them! Hip Hop is very free and if you hold back you will look weird. Just let it out!

It helps if u get into the music u just have to feel what you're doing.. you cant just go out there n do the moves w/o feeling it n expect to b good but to memorize try counting and then instead of 1 2 3 4 say muscle man or like something that will remind you of what to do next the more u dance the easier it is to remember GOOD LUCK

I would say practice way more I also do dance and I have class for at least an hour every night! Make sure you learn the counts of every movement so you know how to put the movements to the music! also pick out words in the music to remember movements to!

Twice a week is not enough. Practice more. I'd say, you need 4 times a week to actually see some serious progress.

When I'm actively learnign new moves, I have to do it every day, otherwise I forget or remember them incorrectly.

alot of dancing is feeling it. . .especially with hip hop! a good dancer is one that can put on a show and make what she has work. my advise to you is dont concentrate on remembering but on feeling it. dancing is like acting in movements. ..make it believable.

snowflake1234 is wrong,im in dance and have been and we dont practice 4 days a week and i am good(I think). You need to prectice a lot,but the most important thing to do is dance is feel it.Dont focus on what others are doing, just move your body to the beat.Just focus and practice well, and you'll be there.Dance is not a technique,it is a passion.

when you learn something new go over it without the music until you have it down perfectly, then do the move 3 times in a row perfectly, if you mess up start over again. then do it with the music 3 times perfectly like above

practice it, before you practice it run it over in your head so you will remember it. Write it down on paper so you can rewiew it when ever.
