He is not beyond world class mate as there is no such thing but he is certainly World Class without a doubt. Think Liverpool and England would have struggled if it wasn't for mr and mrs gerrard senior all those years ago. I believe the best of Stevie G is yet to come. He's a big stage player such as a certain Champions League Final or World Cup Stage.

Anyone who doesn't think Stevie G is a world class player is a fool or an imbicile and frankly shouldn't be answering questions on football cos they obvious don't have a clue.

He has single handedly won two of the biggest cups in the game, holds together a liverpool side that for me is probably the poorest its been for a long time.

He is played in the wrong position and i think even himself he doesn't actually know his real position but I'd rather he was playing no matter where.

Like someone has already said his best is yet to come - and lets not forget he's only just 26 there are plenty more world class appearances to be made from him yet

So very true, Stevie G should be England captain he is the only club captain in the country that has single handedly dragged his club to 2 cup wins when both looked out of reach, John Terry Has the easiest captains job ever his team are worth over 150 million wouldn't matter who was captain of them they would still win the league, however they haven't won the FA CUP or Champions League with him because they are knock out competitions where you need good leadership skills when things go against you. As for Wayne Rooney when is he ever going to fulfil his potential I'm not sure he will, so to answer your question YES Stevie is the Best

No I do not think so ,besides he would not want to leave Liverpool with King Kenny there. I would like to watch the Geographical documentary about the Munich air crash but do not have Sky .Only Sky Sports 1 & 2 from Top-Up TV. What a hero Harry Gregg was, and also a brilliant goalkeeper. Why people mock it really is sickening they must have twisted minds.

Hasn't proved it for a while though has he, but on his day he is the best player in the world! I get the impression he can't be bothered at the moment and is probably regretting not going to Chelsea, a football players wants trophies and it looks like the 'Pool won't get anything this season, his main priority must be the Premiership and that certainly ain't happening!

Steve G is class act. He fits in different roles, and is unlucky with the roles his managers make hime play. Recall Erickson with his conservative play, now Rafa.
Terry is great as well. I must say England is lucky to have both together. Rooney is just d clone of Paul Gascoigne

I agree Gerrard is a better player all around than the rest of the players but Steven Gerrard can make mistakes but I still think that he is one of the best in the world and always will be but I totally agree with you on that

Great player without doubt, has to be allowed to dictate the play in front of him though. The only realistic position, enabling him to do this is the centre of midfield.

Having said all that he has to be a team player, sometimes compromises have to be made. If the manager sees him as being more useful to the team on the right, then so be it. He is a good enough player to be able to play anywhere – he must not allow his obvious desire to play in the middle affect his performance when playing out of position. I think this has happened on a number of occasions.

Gerrard has the best long shot in the world and has great handles along with it, he had a dismal performance in the cup however and liverpool is down in the tables, he is a wildcard that is unstoppable in form, but a regular player out of it
