The easiest thing to do is to actually graph the equation and play with the equation and see what happens when you change each of these things.

If you have a graphing calculator, that is all very easy to do. Otherwise, you can play with excel and generate tables of data using various forms of the equation and graph them.

Or, you might actually have to do some pencil and paper work and draw the graphs.

In short, do you own homework.
