always remember, u can never "make" someone do or think the way you Want them to.. u can only plead your side, tell them how u feel, how sorry u are, lay it all down, and *hope*against hope that he will understand and give you the benefit of the doubt. sometimes selfishness, hurt, anger, can color a person's ability to forgive. u need to give him time and understanding as well, even if he doesn't forgive you.
now, if i were u i would just send a heartfelt letter/email explaining that you are completely sorry, and take full responsibility for the mistake. explain that u don't want to justify anything, u are 100% in the wrong and feel horribly about it. if he can please try to find it in his heart to let it go, and start over, u would be extremely grateful and try harder to hold your tongue, or whatever u need to do to work on urself so that u don't make the same mistake again. ...and that it's up to him if he wants to stay ur friend or not, but u will always care for him and hope he's doing well.
good luck... there's nothign wrong w/ being vulnerable, as long as u know that he may not accept it. be strong, forgive Yourself.. ask him for forgiveness, and let him make a decision. don't be upset either way, and don't punish urself anymore... as long as u continue to *try* to improve yourself, Always, to be Positive, Healthy and Happy in ur actions, u are doing ur best to change. ~~

Just tell him that you were wrong and that you are sorry. This way you have done what God would have you to do. The rest us up to him and he will have to answer for where he forgives you or not. Just be humble and honest and do it!! G
