The wiper on my driver side suddenly stopped moving during a drive in the rain the other day. The car is a 1998 nissan sentra gxe. It has about 140,000 miles on it. I have not checked any connections or other issues. let me know if you have any suggestions as to what could be the issue.

Remove the cat from between the wiper and the windshield. This always does the trick for me. But seriously now, if the other side is working, then it proves you have either a bad motor or wiring. The fuse should be fine since the other wiper works. If neither wiper works, then check the fuse box.

I just read the other posts. NEMO's looks good.

Check the fuse to the wiper, check the connection of the wiper motor, chech the nut at the base of the wiper arm. If the fuse is OK, if the connection to the wiper motor is OK, and if the nut at the base of the wiper arm is tight...the wiper motor may be burned out.

Check the Fuses. There may be some inside the car and under the Hood, then look for any lose connections. My next guess would be the Motor gone bad. You may be able to jump a direct wire to it and see what happen. The Switch may have messed up some way.

NEMO has you covered! It can't be a fuse or the motor if the passenger side works! It could be a loose connection or a corroded connection to the drivers side arm.Good luck!
