Practice saying at least 2 things in every group discussion. Start small, then build your way up to larger contributions. It will be hard for a long time, but like everything else, it gets better with practice.

Most fears like this are mastered through desensitization, by which you experience the stimuli over and over and realize your fears aren't justified. So seek out apportunities to speak in public and it will become easier. Toastmasters is an organization devoted to just this.

If you need to give a speech practice, practice, practice!

Get some family or trusted friends and rehearse what you might say in different scenarios that you might encounter where you will need to talk in front of people ( I am thinking this is for a class or a job, so you might have some ideas of topics you will need to talk about)

Practice getting any tics or stuttering or umm's out of your presentation.

The greater you do it, the less you will experience like this and it takes time to triumph over our concern and/or anxiousness..maximum each and every physique is like this while they first start to speak in front of others... you will do exactly high quality...

Pretend to be bold even when you are scared inside. People will not know the difference. After sometime you will get used to talking boldly infront of people and then you will overcome your fear

Just keep taking on opportunities to speak in front of small groups or join a Toastmasters Club in your area. They help people overcome their fears of speaking in front of groups.
Look in phone book or on web in your area.

First you have to take a couple deep breaths...in through your nose, out through you mouth. Relax and then talk. I have to sing in front of alot of people and that is what I have to do to help me get over my fright of doing something in front of people in a room.
