as far as ive known, lifespan of hamsters depend on their breed.
Syrians: 3yrs/ +
Robovoskiv: 3yrs+
winterwhite or other dwafs: probably 2yrs/ +
a hamster lived up to 8 yrs? thats pure un-possible. Unless the hamster that ur sis is breeding is somewhat supernatural.

It little relies upon what species are they. Syrian hamsters in many circumstances bypass away around age of two years or so, wintry climate whites and Campbells one million,5-2, Roborovski and chinese language 2,5 - 3 years. on occasion it particularly is much less, on occasion extra. Your hamsters' an prolonged time have been superb, surprisingly that 4-y-o. do not hassle.

it mostly depends on what breed of hamster it is! i had 2 syrian hamsters that lived for 2.5 yrs and a teddy bear hamster that lived for 3. smaller hamsters like russian campbell's hamsters usually live 5-10 yrs. but in the end does it matter? at the end of the day, we just have to love our pets while we got em.
hope this info helped!!! ;-)
