im 18 weeks im 5*5 with now 187 pounds but whe i wasnt pregnant i was 172...i had a little belly...my friend tell me that my belly looks the same and i want to know if is like this because i was chunky in my belly before i got pregnant and probably in 5 months is going to start showing....tell me have this happen to u?

YES THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME. YOU DO NOT LOOK PREGNANT, YOU LOOK THE SAME AS YOU DID BEFORE EXCEPT A LITTLE WEIGHT GAIN. PEOPLE JUST THOUGHT I WAS FAT, THEY DID NOT KNOW THAT I WAS PREGNANT.

Well, this is what happened to me. I had a little tummy before I got pregnant too, but now i"m 24 weeks and my pregnant stomach is hard and big and i'm completly showing. Its all my baby, not just tummy. My belly button has pushed all the way out too. Everyone knows im pregnant and I only fit in maternity clothes. You will show too. Don't worry. You're friend sounds jealous and mean. Im sure you look great!

It is still early for you to be showing the extra weight is could be a combination of the amniotic fluid, the baby and water retention. Or it could be something else.You might want to talk to your doctor 10 lbs by 18 weeks is a little more than normal you may want to check for gestational diabeties. It is not that serious and can be controlled with a special diet. My mom and aunt both had it. Good luck.

It hasen't happened to me, but you are pregnant and every woman's body handles it differently. So what if you have a little belly? Most woman would love to have a little baby......It sounds to me like your friend might be jealous.

I'm 33 weeks pregnant and people thought i was fat up until a couple weeks ago. I'm currently 170lbs. It happens a lot so don't be suprised. You'll show soon enough!! Good Luck!
