Pinched nerve

Have you been bike riding or doing any activity where you were tightly gripping or putting pressure on the palm of your hand? Sounds like you may have injured the nerve that passes through you palm and into your pinkie and ring finger. The same thing happened to me when I took a long bike trip and my seat was not adjusted properly putting too much pressure on my hands. Eventually, you will get the feeling back as the nerve heals. However, if it stay numb more than a few weeks I would get it checked out by a doctor to make sure everything is fine.

Not carpal tunnel....wrong nerve. You have some type of ulnar nerve compression which can come from the wrist, forearm, neck. If it does not subside go to a Doctor. Especially go if your fingers start to get painful.

My ring finger on my right hand has been numb for four or five years. I must have killed all the nerves in it. Anyway, it's a pretty commonplace thing, so you won't die or have to have your fingers amputated or anything.

That's the classic symptom of carpal tunnel syndrome.
