I mean even some of the people asking questions give you a smart *** comeback after they ask you for your opinion. You give your opinion and they snap back with an attitude. Well don't ask me for my freaking opinion if you really don't want it. I even agreed with someone earlier and got a smart *** reply! What the hell is wrong with people these days? Geez!

Sometimes the best way to relieve tension in your own life is to pick an argument with a stranger. Not the most considerate of things to do but it happens none the less. I'm guilty of it. If I've had a rough morning (I have 3 boys that I need to help get ready for school as well as myself-things can get a little crazy) I have a tendency to be overly impatient with some people's questions, particularly the ones with tremendous spelling errors.

There are probably the same ratio of rude people here as in real life, but here it's eaiser to be rude because you don't have to do it to someones face.
Also, you may think someone is being rude, but maybe they are being sarcastic, or just giving short answers. An honest straight-forward response may seem rude to someone who really hoped for a different answer.
There are a lot of really unintelligent people here. There are a lot of really smart people here too. Putting those to groups together can cause all kinds of insults. It's easy for smart people to call dumb people dumb. It's easy for the insulted people to be rude to the insulter.
Don't take it personally. And stop asking stupid questions!@

People are ignorant....not any more so than before, but the internet and boards like this give them the outlet/exposure they didnt' have in the past. Some people feel inferior to the rest of the world...bitter, sad, depressed. Some have low self-esteem to the point of it being a major issue in their lives. Those are usually the people who become internet trolls - google that term! Just ignore them and remember, the world is full of sad people with nothing else to do except rip on others instead of bettering themselves.

Just because they have nothing else to do, probably. Same reason why I'm here. They just choose to become mean people. But not all people visiting Y!Answers are rude or mean. Once in a while you actually find someone who isn't at all bad on here. It's just luck. And it depends on the question you're asking.

They are keyboard warriors. They are so insecure in real life so they come here to take it out on people on the Internet.
I agree, if you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question. Especially to people on the Internet who will not think anything of telling you the brutal truth.

Just kidding...I think most people who are so rude are just on a pathetic little power trip, chances are they don't behave this way in their day to day life toward people they actually know. Sadly, I think we often see the bad parts of peoples' true nature here because they know they're anonymous and there's no consequences.

I AGREE AND YOU KNOW WHY BECAUSE THEY NEED ATTENTION AND THIS IS THE ONLY WAY OF GETTING IT CAUSE THEIR THE TYPE WHO'S NOT OUT SPOKEN TO OTHERS AND THEIR REALLY SCARE BUT WE DON'T KNOW THEM SO THEY THINK THEY CAN TALK TO YOU ANY KIND OF WAY.
