Complicated question. All kinds of things can trigger memories of trauma. Usually these triggers relate directly to a facet of the trauma (e.g., you were robbed by a man in a black ski mask - now seeing someone in a black ski mask brings back the memory of being traumatized). So if using alcohol was part of the trauma experience, it could definitely be a trigger. But you're probably asking if using alcohol can result in trauma memories unrelated to alcohol use being dredged up. It's possible, but defintely not a given. It is far more common for people suffering from trauma to use alcohol or some other drug to try and cope or to blot out memories of the trauma.
