If Dick were a black man it is likely he would not have become vice president, and doubtful that he would have been the head of one of the largest corporations in the world.

This country, the US, still has problems with the idea of black people in positions of power.

Oprah, Condi, and even Colin Powell are/were in positions of influence, not the same as positions of power.

His race doesn't have anything to do with it. His attitudes probably wouldn't be any different if his education and experience are the same. Any one that would want to treat him any different would be a hypocrite in my book.

i don't think skin pigment has anything to do with anything..

maybe it would be different if mr cheney was say a pasifist.. :)
