John did in my opinion. He was the best, and is very much missed. His political views and some of his comments during interviews did get him in a bit of trouble though. But that is one of the things that makes him one of my all-time favorites. He was a free thinker and outspoken!

John, by far. It's been how many years since Paul was in the news for anything controversial until his divorce? John & Yoko are still regarded as one of the most contrversial couples in history. He and his wife were blamed for the destruction of the greatest band in rock & roll history. His murder is one of the most shocking in history. When the John Lennon exhibit hit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame they experienced record breaking attendance.

Paul is famous for Wings, his dead wife and his one-legged ex. I don't think they compare. When John died the world stood still for a minute. No one cares about Paul's trivial controversy. When you marry a gold-digger this is what you get.

Absolutely John!! I grew up at Beatle time and certainly John was and, believe it or not, still is the one who causes the most controversy! He was the "quiet Beatle" The one who didn't make the most noise, but be became the rebel and who could not love him!!!!

John, without a doubt! With his remark "The Beatles are bigger than Jesus", Yoko (do I really need to go on?...I will), his peace activism against the Vietnam war, his court battles with the Nixon administration to gain citizenship, and the manner of how he died.

John caused the most controversy because of the whole "make love not war" w/ that ugly foreign chick he married. He was brilliant and gorgeous!! ;)

John Lennon casued most. His Jesus quote, marriage to Yoko, his divorce with Cynthia, his Bed-ins, Nixon trying to get him deported, "lost weekend" with May Pang, openly admitting to more drug use, naked album cover, political activism, making books of dirty pictures, filming his errection, making movie called Rape, all the Avant Garde art work he did, it big list...

John Lennon Lives!

George was Quite Beatle, not John, who said that is wrong.

John did when he made his infamous 'bigger than Jesus' comment, people burned records and boycotted them for a time.
I think Paul's had his day and even though his divorce is becoming a media circus I don't think it is generating the interest it would have done even 20 years ago.

Used to be John when he was alive. Obviously its no contest anymore since he is no longer with us. So the answer is, Paul. Why no pre-nup, dude?

I am sure wherever John is, he is thinking that his old friend has LOST his mind..

Well John is dead so there was nothing that he caused, If anything the media caused it for him. Paul causes the most contraversy i'd say.
