I have a 3 week old baby mouse, seems active just scared. Don't know what to feed it, can it eat solid food? milk water? what does it need to survive this young? I found it abandaned, I had adult mice before but none this young, please help!! want very badly for this little guy to survive, it's white has all it's hair just very small, don't think it's a pocket mouse, pretty sure it's just an abandoned little guy.

The mama had probably abandoned the pups. Well I don't think it's possible to keep pups that are only 1 day old... you know if the mom is around she does a lot for the pups, like gloom them, warming them up, fixing nest etc. I feel sorry for the pups, you shouldn't tilted the container, but probably you are not contributing to mice plague =) or maybe the mama is only hiding from you, so if you just leave the pups alone, she might come back. Or if you don't mind just take them to the shelter to dispose them of course in a HUMANE way. Every time when people got problem like rat in a house or rat or mouse pups, I would just tell them to dump the pups or rat in the trash can, but there have to be people saying: send them to the shelter and they will be treated in a HUMANE way... and humane is always in capitals... I mean I own so many rodents, so it's not that I'm cruel, but I would rather safe the resource for animals like dogs, cats, or pets in general. but for animals that can never be pets is a waste. good luck =)

Start slowly - feed him a couple of ounces of Similac Advance with DHA (I hear it helps with brain function and vision) and work up from there. Be sure to change his diaper after each feeding and check for rash -- you can apply petroleum jelly every other diaper change, but not if it's mating season). Finally, be sure to provide a stimulating environment with brightly colored pictures and toys for him to play about with.

Pretty soon he'll be thriving and no one would be the wiser that you actually got him off the street.

You should really call a vet or go to a pet store. They should be able to tell you.. I have only had cats, dogs, fish and birds in my life so I wouldn't be able to tell you about a little mouse... Good luck though!!

Use a eyedropper to get some water in it. Don't over do it. Try Farina because its soft and Ensure to get all the nutrients. Allow it to try solid foods on its own after that.

you can give it milk with a eye dropper,
But at 3 weeks it should be able to eat and drink on its own, give it some cheese, and if you have some corn flakes it would probably eat those.

Best thing is to go to pet shop and get some mice food...

mice are usually weaned between 3 and 4 weeks so it should be fine on normal mouse food and water
