Japan has been at war with Korea on several occasions in the past. Japan committed its share of atrocities towards Korea and China in WWII. Today, some the past is still ingrained in the minds of Korean and Japanese. Some Japanese still deny the terrible things they did to their neighbors. Koreans living in Japan are often descriminating when it comes to job opportunities.

The Japanese and the Koreans differ on many points which is what I believe played a hand in the war these two countries fought. There is still some bad blood between these two countries even though the physical wars are over. For more on this subject check out Japanese and Korean relations from the Teresaki Center of Japanese studies in the link provided below.

I don't think it's true to say that they do as a rule. There IS some historical tension from the fact that Japan invaded Korea during the second world war. Some atrocities took palce, particularly with regards to comfort women (forced prostitution). Today, Japan is still very hesitant to actually apologize for its actions during the war, preferring phrasing like "it is regrettable what occurred". More recently, Japan and South Korea are economic rivals, but they share a common interest in each other's pop culture. Tensions with North Korea stem more from a) North Korea's history of kidnapping Japanese people using subs and taking them to Korea to be language teacehrs for their spy schools b) North Korea's missile programme and c) the fact Kim Jong Il is clearly a madman.

Japan hadn't hate Koreans basically. However, Korea govenment have taught only bad point of Japanse troops during WW2 and what Japan did before WW2. So that the people have expressed outrage over Japan. They never stop.
Today a portion of Japanese youngs also started to hate Koreans.

But basically, Japanese have a tendency to look the future. not looking back like Koreans.
You probably seldom to hear that Japanese grumble about Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
