Hi
If you look on IGN, you can see a picture of the rear of the Wii. I think, from having looked at it myself, that it is a) crtainly not compatible with the AV connector in use since the days of the SNES, and b) probably not compatible with the Gamecube Component cables either. I rekon they have gone for a new cable, but have a look for yourself, see what you think. There are loads of detailed pictures there!

No. They are different. Gamecube and Wii use standard composite cables (yellow, white, red). If you have an HD tv, i recommend getting component cables (green, blue, red) for higher resolution on HDTVs.

I hope so.. by the looks of it.. it will (fingers crossed) cause the AV cable for the nintendo 64 fitted the game cube...
