I just finished the first trimester and my hubby and I are planning to tell our families at thanksgiving. With his parents (it'll be just us and them) we are wrapping up a frame that says "I love my grandma and grandpa" and putting our sonogram picture in it. For my family (there will be a lot of people) I'm wearing a shirt the on front says "Turkey in the oven" and on back "Due May 2007" I have a feeling they will catch on pretty fast. Especially after I turn down the toast. Good luck with your future baby and enjoy!

My associates invited their mum and dad over for dinner - as an appreciation for all that they had performed for them, etc. Did dinner in many circumstances, and after dessert suggested they had to grant them each and each a particular present. each and each individual have been given a newborn merchandise - yet not too glaring, like a small, comfortable yellow blanket, a splash crammed submit to, etc. The final present opened exchange right into a pair of infant booties—it wasn't until that very final present that they "have been given it" simply by fact it exchange into this variety of marvel - they weren't making plans on having childrens for 4-5 years and ended up getting pregnant on their honeymoon! every person exchange into so happy. the way they did it in that complete living house episode exchange into relatively lovable, too - having a candlelite dinner and serving infant carrots, infant corn, infant-lower back ribs, etc.

You could throw a little dinner party and have either a cake that's shaped like something that has to do with a baby (like booties or a rattle) or have little thank you bags with little things like baby bottles, booties, little rattles, and so on.

If you don't want to do that then they have those cigars made of gum that say "we're having a baby" and either pass them out or have one on each plate at the dinner party. Good luck and Congrats!

We just had some amazing cards done by a professional cartoonist in New York, http://stores.ebay.com/clever-girl-media

Anyway, she designed the most amazing cards for us to tell our family and was so wonderful to work with.

It's baby 6 for us so we wanted something different but didn't need to do it face to face with everyone this time around...however, you certainly could hand the cards out or attach them to Christmas gifts...

Well my original plan to tell my parents was to get them bibs saying "Best Grandma" and "Best Grandpa". But I ended up having my first son wear a shirt on his bday that said "Big Bro 2007".

How about taking pictures of baby products and clothes, cribs, bassinet and then you wearing some maternity clothing and in back of the pic's write. Coming soon.

It will have them guessing until they will eventually get it.

When I told my BF, I had a dinner where we had all little things, like baby little sandwiches, baby corn, small glasses, etc... he asked what was up and I said "Think about dinner" He took a bite of baby corn and started crying, when he realized it was a baby dinner!

To tell my mother that she was going to be a grandma I bought her a necklace that had "Grandma" on it. She caught on quick. Since you have a computer, make some certificates that say something like, "World's Greatest Grandma to Baby______."
