That depends on many things. I assume the 14 is for 14K gold, and "small" doesn't say much about the caret size of the stone itself. Color and clarity are also a factor, as is the condition of the ring. Any wear on the band or stone will drastically reduce it's value. Much more information is needed to even take a guess about it's value.
Take it to a good jeweler, and ask for an estimate. Not a full appraisal, which could cost you hundreds of dollars and take days to complete, but just a rough guess. He/She can look at it with their loup, and give you a price range that it would be worth. It's not expensive to get done, and some will even do it for free since it can be done in a matter of minutes.

You definitely will not get the same price as you got then because we were in an economic boom around then (weren't we? or was that later?) and also, bigger is more bought nowadays. Don't expect too much, unless it's a flawless perfect diamond.
