If you want to get him some good comics. I would look for the Graphic Novels of Either. Batman the Dark Knight Returns or The Watchmen. They are not currently movies but there is alway talk of making them into movies.

well you can get hellboy to but thats blackhorse comics goood
the old superman movies ok
