In the news this morning there was a story about a guy who managed to buy 2 PS3's. He then decided to drive around and try to sell the games to people on the street for $5000. He was driving from place to place looking for buyers until he ended up at a gas station. There he met 2 guys who maced him and robbed him.

Did he deserve it for being an idiot?

While I agree this person is not the brightest bulb in the lamp... no one deserves being robbed and/or assaulted.

You could argue that those who engage in risky behavior often get what they deserve, but I look at it from the standpoint that no one deserves to be robbed ( With the exceptions of pedophiles & rapists who should be robbed of their right to live freely in society )

Wow. That's bad luck he got.

I think he isn't an idiot. Sony released only 4000 ps3. He probably thought that people would pay him almost anything to get those ps3. To bad, those 2 guys didn't want to pay.

Somehow life just knows when something is no right on the business end and he was as it seems, warned not to try that gain.

Yes! Not for being an idiot, for being selfish and cruel, and yeah, an idiot, I guess.

No. Nobody ever "deserves" to be robbed.

Sheesh.
